‘Deadpool 2’ Begins Shooting This Fall?

‘Deadpool 2’ Begins Shooting This Fall?
There has never been any question that Ryan Reynolds will return for Deadpool 2. What has been up for debate is just how much money the star is going to ask for this time around, seeing as how the first Deadpool was an unexpected blockbuster and a box office phenomenon. While no numbers are being unveiled yet, it was reported earlier today by HeroicHollywood that the actor has successfully closed his deal with a fat raise in place, and that shooting will begin as early as Fall 2016.

Still playing in theaters with a May 10 Blu-ray and DVD release date already announced, Deadpool wowed just about everybody by pulling in an unexpected $754.5 million at the worldwide box office. The movie has even passed The Matrix Reloaded to become the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time. The movie had a considerably small budget, especially for a big Marvel superhero movie. It reportedly only cost $58 million to make.

Deadpool 2 was announced back in February. And it was always known that Ryan Reynolds will return. On the first one, he only pocketed $2 million up front. Once the movie appeared to be breaking all kinds of records, it was announced in the trades that the star would be seeking to renegotiate his contract. That deal is said to have been closed this past week. Though, no particulars have yet been disclosed.

Ryan Reynolds proved to be a true team player, appearing in costume whenever and wherever asked by the studio. He's one actor who actually deserves more money the second time around. There are no story details released for Deadpool 2 at this time. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are confirmed to be returning to write the screenplay, which they are working on as we speak. Director Tim Miller is expected to return to helm the sequel, but that has never been officially announced.

The Deadpool post-credit scene, which spoofs Ferris Bueller's Day Off, promises that popular X-Force Mutant Cable will be a main character in the sequel. And we've heard that the movie will introduce Domino as his love interest. No additional casting has been announced for Deadpool 2, but with shooting taking place in late 2016, it's possible that we could see Wade Wilson back in theaters as early as 2017, but will more than likely land sometime in 2018.
