Music is an art that, in one guise or another, permeates every human society. Modern music is heard in a bewildering profusion of styles, many of them contemporary, others engendered in past eras. Music is a protean art; it lends itself easily to alliances with words, as in song, and with physical movement, as in dance. Throughout history, music has been an important adjunct to ritual and drama and has been credited with the capacity to reflect and influence human emotion. Popular culture has consistently exploited these possibilities, most conspicuously today by means of radio, film, television, and the musical theatre. The implications of the uses of music in psychotherapy, geriatrics, and advertising testify to a faith in its power to affect human behavior. Publications and recordings have effectively internationalized music in its most significant, as well as its most trivial, manifestations.*chill* you might be wondering already what article this is?!? or felt you clicked the wron g link... Naaa …. just felt like educating you a lil before diving in to the music chart *you know futarians na! we like to form ITK* and also make the write up a bit longer.*HEHE*

Ok! On a serious note... welcome to the 2015/2016 top ten songs of first semester. A semester we witnessed a lot of futa artiste rise from being just mirror/bathroom artiste to becoming light of parties in school, a couple good shows and still more flopped shows not forgetting the FUTASU awards in which awards were given to the undeserving . In these same semester was the FUTASU election where we saw two artistes (LHAY & REESPECT) who were formerly under same management go head-on for the post of the Director of Socials of the school this got the whole school talking as emphasis were placed on their genders also, untold stories came to life about the aspirants and their present and past relationship with the management company. It was a major brawl, as faculty went against faculty, friends against friends, brother against sister, roommate against roommate, Bae against Boo, lecturer against errrrrmmmm… *you should get the point already* it was the major event in school. At the end a winner emerged which gave FUTA its first female Director of socials. Congrats guys!
We hope to have better social life * as they said during campaign “hoping there would be more girls in our parties” *
