CONVERGENT

In my quest in finding love
Not just love
But true love

…AND NOTHING LESS

I went to the synagogue
To the Christian’s abode
To pick just one to love till eternity,

I FOUND NONE

I further my search
Went to the mosque
Where I learnt Muslims searching like me resides

YET, NO POSITIVE RESULT

Not a stop,
Went to the club
To see for myself if my kind of love hides there-in

NONE AT ALL

An ‘amebo’ came to tell me of festivals
Where virgin male and female appear
If only I can go to peep and check for my choice

Amebo said virgins love till eternity
Maybe, maybe-not
Hmm… ameeeebooooo

IN MY QUEST IN FINDING LOVE

I got to meet a lot of new friends
Friends of friends
Relatives of friends

Siblings of friends
Neighbours of friends
Clique of friends

Course-mates of friends
Even enemies of friends
Just to search for the one to give my heart

AND I KEPT WONDERING

Is love this scarce?
Is love long dead?
Is love totally lost?

Is love out of its mind already?
Is love old and got no strength to visit?
Is he of age and waiting for death?

NO, I DIDN’T GIVE UP

Took a bold step and approached the third mainland beach
Perhaps, I will find one who is sick and tired of love-search
To capture as mine

Picked my phone to dial series of numbers, home and aboard
Who knows?
The service provider might link me to my love.

I greet everyone I see
On the roadside, on the bus
At the movie, at the eatery

At work, at the banking hall
At the reception, at zoo
At the restroom, at the pool

Perhaps, love might attract us at first sight
Perhaps, love might come by mere greeting
Perhaps, love will come and stay till eternity.
