RITA ORA SIGNS NEW DEAL WITH ATLANTIC RECORDS

Rita Ora has found another home at Atlantic Records.

The British artist, who was already marked to Roc Nation, has inked an overall recording contract with the name and plans to discharge new material not long from now.

“Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released,” said Ora in a statement. “I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”

Ben Cook, the president of Atlantic Records UK, praised the label’s newest signee.

“Rita is a rare talent and a true global star,” he said. “First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic Records. We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”

The 25-year-old singer sued for release from Roc Nation last year, claiming she was “orphaned” by Jay Z’s label, who released her 2012 debut Ora internationally. Roc Nation filed a countersuit earlier this year before both parties came to an agreement.

This follows a Billboard report that Rita signed a deal with Atlantic’s parent company, Warner Music.
