Residents of Gwoza town and Konduga community hold Eid prayers in their community for the first time in three years

Residents of Konduga community in Borno state today celebrated Sallah in their community for the first time in three years. An attack from Boko Haram members had forced them to flee their community and take refuge at various IDP camps in the state. The state government on September 5th, resettled them in their homes.

The state governor, Kashim Shettima, accompanied by the Sen. Abubakar Kyari, Sen. Babakaka Bashir Garbai and the speaker of the Borno state House of Assembly Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan joined the resettled IDPS to observe the Eid prayers in their community earlier today.

Also, members of Gwoza community who fled their homes three years ago following consistent attacks from Boko Haram were recently resettled and had their first Eid prayers in their community today.
