Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus and Others mourn Olumide Bakare

One of the most gifted and talented actors in Nollywood, Olumide Bakare has died. The popular Yoruba actor died in the early hours of Saturday April 22nd, according to his personal assistant, who was with him when he passed away.

Bakare who is said to be battling with ear and Lungs disease for years died while he was being rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH) by his personal assistant.
Olumide Bakare became famous for his acclaimed role as Chief Koko in the rested TV series, Koko Close. He was a regular feature in many Nollywood movies.
Nollywood filmmakers, have since Saturday mourn the death of one of their own, talented actor, Olumide Bakare, who died after prolonged illness.
Actresses, Funke Akindele-Bello and Eniola Badmus on Sunday morning took to Instagram to bid goodbye to their veteran colleague.
“RIP #OLUMIDEBAKARE May the good Lord comfort his family. So sad,” the onetime African Best Actress said.
“RIP Uncle OLUMIDE BAKARE…….”, Ms. Badmus wrote.
