Transportation Prices At A 200% Increase As Scarcity Threatens To Sideline Christmas

An insight into the effects of the ongoing fuel scarcity on the everyday Nigerian.
While the drama persists with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Independent petroleum marketers and the Federal Government as they play the blame-game, citizens of Nigeria are left bearing the brunt as transportation prices get hiked up to 200% and many have taken to Social Media to call out the current Leadership.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN AT THE END OF EVERY CALENDAR YEAR ?!

Residents without personal rides are having to rush and fight for spaces in buses, with some losing their belongings in the process and others getting injured, while yet still having to pay exorbitant prices for transportation just days to the Christmas celebrations.
Meanwhile, the black market is at a boom period, motorists and everyday-fuel-users hassle it out as Nigerians try to survive. We are a resilient people but the Nigerian people truly deserve better.
